Sweet Sesame Chicken

Ingredients

  • Canola Oil to fry chicken(Pantry)
  • 1 kgchicken breast fillets Cut on the diagonal into thick strips, about two inches wide.(Meat)
  • 2Eggs(Fridge)
  • 2 cupsplain flour (or GF blend)(Pantry)
  • 1 tablespoonSoy Sauce (or Coconut Aminos for GF/SF)(Pantry)
  • 1 tablespoonsesame seeds(Herbs & Spices)
  • 1 cupWhite Sugar(Pantry)
  • White Rice cooked, to serve(Pantry)

Instructions

Pour about two inches of canola oil into a pan; heat over medium until hot.
Beat eggs in one bowl, and place flour (or GF blend) in another. Dip chicken strips in egg, then coat generously with flour.
Once oil is hot, fry chicken pieces until golden brown, about 3 minutes per side.
Remove chicken to a paper towel to drain excess oil.
For the candy sauce, whisk soy sauce (or coconut aminos) and sugar for 30 seconds until thick. Stir in sesame seeds.
Dip each chicken piece into the sauce, coating all sides.
Serve with cooked white rice, drizzling any extra sauce over the chicken.
